Full Circle: One of my favorite books is “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho.  It is somewhat representative of my journey in skincare and my recent return to Tucson.

In 1995, I reluctantly moved to this “one horse town” called Tucson. To my surprise, in the years to follow the people and the Sonoran Desert grew on me.  In 1998, I earned my Esthetician’s License and worked for several years at the spa at Loews Ventana Canyon. My goal was to have my own practice specializing in microcurrent and lymphatic drainage.

Life changes happened and my passion and desire for a more in depth education in skin care lead me to the Dermal Institute in Los Angeles where I was trained by British educated estheticians.  This launched my career working with professional skincare and medical device companies in the aesthetic industry.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of educating and training estheticians across the country and working alongside nurses and doctors training Plastic Surgeons and Dermatologist to perform an invasive skin resurfacing procedure.  From Beverly Hills to Boulder, I acquired a great deal of knowledge and experience with skincare products, ingredients and corrective skin procedures.

It was a wonderful and successful journey!  However, in my heart there was always a longing to return to where it all began and where the treasure was buried all along!

My treasure to share with you is Beauty & the Butterfly Effect.  Without this experience and knowledge, it could not exist.  It is a holistic (nontoxic, non synthetic, beyond organic) skin studio offering uncompromising quality, attention to detail and results with science-based treatments and products that work in harmony with our natural being.  It is that ever elusive space between a medical and resort spa.
